A native Miamian, William founded Dynamica Architecture + Interior Design which is set to become internationally renowned for its sleek and impeccable architectural design, planning of mixed-use centers, chic hotels and resorts, high-end residential, smart commercial and retail projects, as well as immaculate renovations throughout the Americas and abroad. William has been involved in the design and planning of more than $10 billion dollars in new construction and renovations.

Prior to Dynamica, William earned his tenure at the world-renowned firm, Arquitectonica His creativity and brilliance can be seen not only throughout our very own skyline but throughout the world. Some local projects include Marina Blue, Blue, One Miami, Latitude on the River, Axis, Icon Brickell, Marquis, Canyon Ranch Living, and the University of Miami Student Center which is one of the first LEED Silver projects on the Coral Gables campus. Some of his national and international projects include: Marriott Convention Center Hotel and Gallery Place in Washington D.C., Cyberport Waterfront Development in Hong Kong, West Kowloon Waterfront Development Master Plan, Hong Kong, Tai Koo Hui Mixed Use Hotel / Office / Retail Complex in Guangzhou, China. Over the span of his architectural career, he has completed over sixty projects in the last decade including residential high rise towers, offices, hotels, retail, institutional, government, transportation and master planning projects.

Although successful to most, William Lai measures his success not through the amount of completed projects but the way he will touch the lives of the people who will enjoy working, living and playing at the projects he has helped build and design. Mr. Lai attended the University of Miami on a full scholarship earning a Bachelor of Architecture and Minor in Finance. During his time at UM, he was a student leader involved in numerous campus activities such as Editor-in-Chief of the award winning IBIS Yearbook, Phi Delta Theta fraternity and other extra curricular activities like working part-time basis with the Associated Press and the Sun Sentinel. During the summer he interned at The Russell Partnership where he began working on projects such as the United States Post Offices and Miami International Airport Concourse D-E-F Wrap.

He is currently a member of the Design + Architecture Senior High (D.A.S.H.) Advisory Board and has been instrumental in forming the D.A.S.H. Alumni Association along side numerous alumni and faculty. William is a member of the American Institute of Architects and is a Registered Architect and a Registered Interior Designer in the State of Florida since 2006. In 2009 Mr. Lai received his LEED Accredited Professional status to spearhead the Green building certification process. In 2008, William was awarded the “DASH Creative Minds Award”. Last year, Mr. Lai was nominated and selected as The Best Architect of South Florida for 2009 for the Television show “Best of South Florida and in 2010 William was selected among 1,000 nominations to be featured in the Art Basel Issue of South of Fifth Magazine as one of the “33 Emerging Creative Minds You Need To Know” for the Architect Category for 2010. Most recently William was featured in Brickell Magazine's Real Estate January / February 2011 Issue as Top Talent for 2011.
